Infographic: The gender pay gap is still a problem

On March 31, Equal Pay Day is celebrated in the US to raise public awareness of the pay gap between men and women. 

While this issue has improved over the years, the latest data from Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites, reveals that there’s still a long way to go for true equality. 

For example, media and retail are the two industries with the largest gender pay gap. In these industries, women earn 93.6 cents per dollar earned by men working in the same job title at the same company. 

And if these trends continue at the same pace, the adjusted gender pay gap still may not fully close until the year 2070.
