New Feature: Interactive Preview In Edit Mode

27.10.2015 by roberts

One of Infogram’s main benefits is the interactivity of our charts that keeps readers engaged and surprised by gradually introducing new data to the story. It also allows for a more natural flow of information, where the story is told step by step instead of all at once, preventing the reader from overwhelming with lots of data.

Would you like to experience the full power of data visualization? Try Infogram for Teams or Enterprise for free! To ensure that the interactivity works the way you intend, we recommend that you test it out before publishing your charts. Up until now you had to go to the preview mode to see what the final output looked like, thus adding steps to the content creation process. But now,  thanks to the feedback we’ve received from our users, we’re releasing a new feature we call ”Preview in edit mode” that allows you to view the interactivity of your charts right from the editor view as you make changes to the chart’s data.

The new feature will significantly improve your chart creating workflow as it:

  • Reduces clicks and steps needed to view the chart’s interactivity
  • Helps you verify that the chart looks exactly as you intend before publishing

The new preview in editor mode works exactly like published charts do. To interact with the chart simply hover over it to see the values and click on the radio buttons to switch between data sets.

The interactive preview is also available when you’re adding data to a chart’s spreadsheet or customizing its look, so you can immediately see the effect of your changes.

We have several UI  updates coming out soon as we continue to work on improving our app and making it as easy to use as possible.

Until then, happy and easy chart making!
