This week in 1969, one of the biggest events in music history became the defining moment of the 60’s. The Woodstock Music Festival took place over three days in upstate New York, drawing in close to half a million people.

The rock n roll concert promoted peace and love, featuring incredible performances from some of the hugest names in music including Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Grateful Dead, The Who, and The Family Stone.
