Once more, western Wisconsin is a magnet for presidential politics 

While western Wisconsin swung in a Republican direction in 2016, it remains an unusually competitive rural battleground. One added subplot this year: the presence on the Democratic ticket of Tim Walz, the governor of neighboring Minnesota.  More than 40% of the voters in western Wisconsin live in Minnesota TV markets (Duluth and the Twin Cities).
