We asked investors with each investment account type about their knowledge of the types of investments in these accounts.
Source: NerdWallet survey conducted online Feb. 9-11, 2021, by The Harris Poll. Respondents include 1,214 Americans who have workplace retirement accounts, 1,216 Americans who have other types of retirement accounts and 1,121 Americans who have nonretirement investment accounts.
