Design Engaging Email Content with Infogram

Email headers play a crucial role in the technical aspects of message delivery, providing essential information about the email's routing, sender details, and security checks. While these headers ensure your messages reach their destination safely and effectively, it's the email content itself that truly captures your audience's attention and drives engagement.

With Infogram, you can go beyond the basic structure and create visually compelling, professionally designed emails that stand out in today’s crowded inboxes. Whether it's eye-catching infographics, dynamic charts, or customized branded visuals, Infogram’s intuitive tools allow you to design content that resonates with your audience and encourages action.

Boost User Engagement

Interactive email headers can significantly boost user engagement by capturing recipients' attention right from the moment they see your email. When headers are designed with interactive elements, they invite recipients to click, explore, or respond. For instance, an interactive header might include a poll or a question that encourages immediate participation, prompting readers to engage with the content of the email.

This level of interactivity not only makes the email more appealing but also fosters a sense of involvement among recipients. By turning passive readers into active participants, interactive headers can lead to higher open rates, increased click-through rates, and ultimately, a greater impact on your marketing goals.

Provide Clear Insights into Audience Preferences

Interactive email headers enable marketers to gather valuable insights into audience preferences and behavior. By incorporating elements like response buttons or clickable graphics, you can track which headers resonate most with your audience. Analyzing this data helps you understand what type of content, design, or messaging appeals to your recipients, allowing you to refine your email strategy accordingly.

For example, if a certain header design leads to a higher engagement rate, you can replicate that style in future campaigns. Additionally, tracking interactions with different headers can reveal patterns related to demographics, preferences, and engagement habits, allowing for more tailored and effective future communications.

Increase Brand Recognition and Recall

Interactive email headers contribute to building brand recognition and recall among your audience. When you consistently use visually appealing and interactive headers in your emails, recipients begin to associate these elements with your brand. This recognition is crucial in a crowded inbox where numerous emails compete for attention. An interactive header that showcases your logo, brand colors, or distinctive messaging can create a lasting impression.

Furthermore, when users engage with interactive content, they are more likely to remember your brand and share your emails with others. Over time, this repeated exposure reinforces brand familiarity and loyalty. As recipients become more accustomed to your brand's style and tone, they will be more likely to open your emails in the future, creating a positive feedback loop that strengthens your brand presence.

Simplify Communication

Interactive email headers can help simplify communication by allowing you to deliver important information quickly and effectively. For instance, headers can include essential details like event dates, deadlines, or key announcements, presented in an easily digestible format. This reduces the need for recipients to sift through lengthy paragraphs of text to find the information they need.

Additionally, interactive headers can include links to additional resources or relevant content, enabling recipients to access more detailed information with a simple click. By facilitating efficient communication, you respect your audience’s time and attention, making it more likely they will engage with your content.

When to use an email header?

Professional-looking email headers make a great first impression, help ensure maximum open rates, and increase the click-through rate of your emails.

They're also one of the main ingredients to designing your perfect email newsletter. They can help define the identity of your brand and can encourage the reader to do any of the following:

  • Visit your website
  • Purchase your products
  • Provide feedback
  • Return to using your product or service
  • Share their love with others

Ask yourself the question: Do you want to achieve any of the above goals? If the answer is “yes”, creating an email header for your newsletters is a must.

How do I pick the right email header size?

How do I make email headers that stand out?

Here are some guiding principles that will help you create an email header that looks really good:

  • Use a consistent style. What values and qualities matter to your audience? Decide on which style to use (whether that's elegant, bold, minimalistic, or other) and stick to it.
  • Match the color palette to your brand identity. Make sure the colors used in your email headers comply with your brand's visual identity.

Don't go overboard with content. Leave enough whitespace in your email header so that it integrates well with the rest of your email.
